In addition, the usage rights are usually very strict (such as the terms of use for Apple emojis). That's why we developed OpenMoji as the first open-source and independent emoji system to date. When designing the OpenMoji system, we developed visual guidelines that are independent of specific brands. In addition, our goal is to design emoticons that are well integrated with text. OpenMoji is an open-source project composed of over 50 students, 2 professors, and external contributors from HfG Schw ä bisch Gm ü nd (Design University).
